API 5L X52 seamless steel pipe is a high-strength carbon steel line pipe strictly manufactured in accordance with the API 5L international standard, specially designed for oil, natural gas, and fluid transmission pipeline systems. As a mainstream medium-grade pipeline steel, it balances excellent mechanical performance, weldability, and cost-effectiveness. The seamless manufacturing process eliminates welding seams, ensuring superior pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and structural stability compared with welded pipes. It is available in two specification levels: PSL1 and PSL2, to meet general and high-standard industrial pipeline project requirements respectively.
1.Delivery Condition
Normalized Delivery (N): The most common delivery state for X52 seamless pipes. Normalization treatment refines the steel grain structure, eliminates internal stress, and delivers uniform toughness, ductility, and stable mechanical properties. Suitable for most conventional oil and gas transmission projects.
Hot Rolled Delivery (HR): Applicable for large-diameter and thick-wall X52 pipes. Maintains good plasticity and processability, convenient for subsequent cutting, bending, and welding construction.
Custom Heat Treatment: Quenched and tempered (Q&T) treatment is optional for PSL2 high-standard products used in low-temperature, high-pressure, or sour service environments to enhance comprehensive mechanical performance and impact resistance.
All delivered pipes are free of surface cracks, folds, delaminations, and internal defects, with uniform wall thickness and smooth inner/outer surfaces, meeting full export inspection standards

API 5L standard defines two product specification levels (PSL1 and PSL2) for X52 seamless pipes, with distinct requirements on chemical composition, mechanical properties, testing standards, and application scenarios. PSL1 only meets basic tensile and chemical requirements without mandatory impact test and full NDT. PSL2 is for high-standard, harsh-condition projects, while PSL1 is for conventional general pipelines.
