Q1: What is the difference between DX51D and SGCC galvanized coil?
DX51D follows the European EN 10346 standard, while SGCC follows the Japanese JIS G 3302 standard. Their mechanical properties, formability and anti-corrosion performance are basically equivalent, and they can replace each other in most conventional usage scenarios. DX51D has stricter dimensional tolerance standards and is more popular in European, Middle Eastern and African markets.
Q2: What does Z275 mean for zinc coating?
Z275 means the total double-sided zinc coating weight is 275g per square meter, which is the most common conventional coating. We provide customizable coating weights from Z60 to Z440. Higher zinc content brings better corrosion resistance and longer service life, suitable for outdoor and high-humidity environments.
Q3: Can DX51D be used for bending and stamping?
Yes. DX51D is a professional cold-forming grade with good ductility and elongation. It is suitable for conventional bending, rolling, stamping and profiling processes. It will not crack or peel under normal cold working conditions. For deep drawing processing, we recommend upgrading to DX52D/DX53D grades for better performance.
