Primary Application: Designed for high-pressure service at atmospheric and lower temperatures. Its primary use is in the transmission of oil and natural gas, as well as in pressure vessel applications.
Manufacturing Process: EFW or LSAW. commonly using the JCOE forming method. The welds are required to be double-welded, full-penetration welds. Manufacturing and welding procedures, along with personnel, must be qualified in accordance with Section IX of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
Heat Treatment: Heat treatment is a mandatory requirement for most classes under ASTM A671. All classes except 10, 11, 12, and 13 must undergo furnace heat treatment. The furnace must be controlled to within ±15℃ and equipped with recording instrumentation to maintain a verifiable heating record. The specific heat treatment regimen for CL32 ensures the material's properties are suitable for its designated service conditions.
