3PE Coated ERW Steel Pipe (also called 3LPE ERW pipe) is high-frequency electric resistance welded carbon steel pipe with three-layer polyethylene external anti-corrosion coating system: fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) primer, copolymer adhesive layer, and high-density polyethylene outer layer. This anti-corrosion structure greatly resists soil corrosion, moisture, acid, alkali and microorganism erosion. Our 3PE ERW pipe covers DN15 ~ DN1200, widely used for buried oil, natural gas transmission pipeline projects. Production Process
Raw material inspection: Check hot rolled steel strip chemical & mechanical data, surface defect inspection
ERW forming & high frequency welding, online weld seam annealing
Weld seam ultrasonic online testing, trimming & sizing
Pipe cutting, straightness checking, end facing & beveling
Surface blasting pretreatment to Sa 2.5 grade, anchor profile 50–75μm, remove oil, rust and dust
Induction heating of steel pipe to target temperature
Electrostatic spraying FBE epoxy primer
Extrusion coating copolymer adhesive layer
Extrusion coating HDPE outer layer
Water cooling & curing
Coating inspection: thickness, holiday spark test, peel strength, visual check
Marking, packing, finished product final inspection, loading
