Hot-Rolled Process – Forging Density in High Heat

Billet Heating: High-quality round steel billets are uniformly heated to the austenitizing temperature in a rotary hearth furnace, enabling phase transformation and preparing for plastic deformation.

Piercing & Rolling: The billet is spirally pierced into a "hollow shell" by a piercer, then continuously rolled through a multi-stand mandrel mill. Wall thickness accuracy and outer diameter are precisely shaped under high temperature and high stress.

Sizing & Cooling: Final dimensions are set via a sizing mill, and a controlled cooling process yields a uniform, refined grain structure.

Compared to cold-drawn pipes, hot-rolled pipes are more cost-effective for medium-to-thick wall specifications and, due to dynamic recrystallization during hot working, offer denser grain structures and excellent overall toughness .
