API 5L X52 line pipe is a high-strength carbon steel pipe manufactured in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute API Spec 5L standard, specifically designed for fluid transportation systems including oil, natural gas, and water. The "X52" designation indicates a minimum yield strength of 52,000 psi (approximately 360 MPa), achieving an excellent balance between strength, toughness, and weldability.
API 5L covers two Product Specification Levels to meet different service requirements:
● PSL 1: Standard quality level for conventional service conditions
● PSL 2: Enhanced technical requirements with stricter chemical composition, mechanical properties, and testing requirements
